How To Use QuickString: The Ultimate Guide for Getting Accurate Results

The QuickTrick® QuickString™ is a versatile and affordable system that allows you to check the alignment of your vehicle's wheels in one kit. The 5th Gen version of the QuickString™ is even more advanced, enabling you to accurately check caster, camber, toe, and thrust angle.

Here's how to use it:

Step 1: Prepare the Components

Before using the QuickTrick® QuickString™, you must ensure all the components are in good condition and assembled correctly. The kit's components include the caster/camber verticals, four toe bars with the QuickTrick stringer and string, a QuickTrick digital gauge, two gauge attachment brackets attached, four attachment pins with caps and an Allen wrench, twelve QuickTrick backup bungees, and a QuickTrick carrying case.

Check that each component is in good condition, and assemble the kit according to the instructions. Attach the gauge attachment brackets to the digital gauge and secure them to the toe bars using the attachment pins.

Step 2: Set Up the System

Once you assemble the components, it's time to set up the system on your vehicle. First, park your car on a hard, level surface, and ensure the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure. Then, place the caster/camber verticals against the wheels, and adjust them to the correct height and position.

Next, attach the toe bars to the verticals using the attachment pins and caps. Ensure that the toe bars are as close to the edge of the tires as possible and that they are not too long. Finally, stretch the QuickTrick stringer and string across the toe bars and secure them using the QuickTrick backup bungees.

Step 3: Take Measurements

Now that the system is set up, it's time to take measurements. Start using the QuickTrick digital gauge to measure each wheel's caster and camber angles. Attach the gauge to the brackets on the toe bars and place it on the QuickTrick stringer. Then, place the gauge against the wheel and take a reading.

Next, use the QuickTrick stringer to measure the toe angle at each wheel. Place the gauge against the wheel and extend the stringer until it touches the tire's edges. Then, take a reading.

Finally, use the QuickTrick stringer to measure the thrust angle of your vehicle. Place the gauge against the rear wheels and extend the stringer until it reaches the front wheels. Then, take a reading.

Step 4: Adjust the Alignment

Once you have taken all the measurements, it's time to adjust your vehicle's alignment. The specific adjustments will depend on the readings you have taken. Still, you will need to change the camber, caster, and toe angles to bring them within the recommended specifications.

Adjusting your vehicle's alignment at home is possible with the DIY Portable Wheel Alignment kit from QuickTrick Alignment.

Step 5: Repeat the Process

After making the necessary adjustments, repeat the measurement process to ensure the alignment is within the recommended specifications. Make further adjustments as needed, and repeat the process until the alignment is correct.

When done correctly, using the QuickTrick® QuickString™ to align your vehicle's wheels can be a simple and effective process. Check out today!
